If I put one pigtail on top of her head, her hair just curls over the rubberband, and you can't see the adorable cuteness of the pigtail. I prefer the two-pigtails-on-top-of-her-head look. You can actually see that her hair is "styled" that way.
Oh, so you want to know how I get her to hold still while I pull on her hair? I bribe her with the box of no-no's - the box with all the fascinating stuff I don't let her have otherwise. That usually does the trick!
By the way, I absolutely love this color of aqua on Lexi. It makes her eyes pop!
