2009...

In 2009 I resolve to:

Not blog lurk so much, and just type some comments, darn it!

It's just so easy to click on all these fun blogs, read them, laugh, cry, raise an eyebrow, then not let the author know how much I enjoyed seeing into their life a little bit.

I resolve to change that this year. Look for more comments from me in the coming months.

Until then, here are a few quotes to ponder on this first day of January. Happy New Year 2009, everyone!

"The object of a New Year is not that we should have a new year. It is that we should have a new soul."
-G. K. Chesterton

"We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year's Day."
-Edith Lovejoy Pierce

"We spend January 1 walking through our lives, room by room, drawing up a list of work to be done, cracks to be patched. Maybe this year, to balance the list, we ought to walk through the rooms of our lives... not looking for flaws, but for potential."
-Ellen Goodman

"People are so worried about what they eat between Christmas and the New Year, but they really should be worried about what they eat between the New Year and Christmas."
-Author Unknown (but smart!)
